Hi!

My name is Marinés Aquije and I'm a Peruvian Artist and Graphic Designer, permanently living in Melbourne, Australia. I have a Licentiate Degree in Art majoring in Graphic Design from PUCP in Lima, Perú.

I have been working in the Art and Graphic Design industry for the past decade across agencies and design studios and have been involved in numerous Art Exhibitions including three Solo Exhibitions in 2016, 2017 and 2022.

I have advanced competencies in the Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Premiere), and often combine my artwork within clients branding to add extra unique hand drawn elements to a digital brand.

My passion is drawing and painting, and thoroughly enjoy working with colleagues and clients to bring great ideas to life.

My artistic philosophy is anchored in the human condition. I translate everyday realities, profound emotions, and the subtle gestures of living beings into visual narratives. Driven by the power of eye contact and unspoken connection, my characters serve as mirrors to the world as I perceive and imagine it. My distinctive style is defined by the mediums I choose; I harness the raw texture of graphite, the soft depth of pastels, and the fluid looseness of watercolor to give my visions form.
